Boguszyce Wetlands
Wet meadows, thickets, floodwaters and quiet banks of the Boguszyce Stream valley. This is a separate ecological site, neighbouring Boguszyce Forest and forming part of the same valuable natural area: the Oleśnica and Boguszyce Stream Valley.

Oleśnica and Boguszyce Stream Valley
A place full of life
The Boguszyce Wetlands protect water-related habitats: wet meadows, reed beds, willow thickets and waterlogged parts of the valley. It is a less obvious landscape than the forest, but an extremely important one — it retains water, provides shelter for animals and creates conditions for plants that could not survive in dry areas.
Close to Boguszyce Forest
The wetlands and Boguszyce Forest are connected, but they are not the same place. The forest covers a larger, compact woodland complex, while the wetlands have a more open, waterlogged character. Together they form a natural system: forest, stream, meadows, water and floodwaters.

Licho knows the way astray best
In the world of Boguszyczanie, the wetlands are a place of strange sounds, mist and uncertain ground. Here, a path can suddenly disappear, light can reflect where it should not, and the ordinary rustle of reeds can sound like someone whispering. Or was it Licho?
